* Messsage from our President - Kyle Watterworth *
"Dear Fellow Members:
2020 is here and that means it's time to come check us out! The growth of this chapter has been phenomenal and on January 9, 2020, we reached 40 Members! Every year we keep growing and I am proud of everyone’s hard work & dedication to the chapter, bringing this organization to its full potential!
This year at our annual Christmas Party in December, we introduced a new chapter award to be given out yearly. It's called the " Brian Weir Member of the Year Award". This years recipient for the 2019 Brian Weir Member of the Year was John O'Dierna. John has been with the chapter since the FIRST meeting & is considered one of the founding members of the chapter. He does a lot for the chapter behind the scenes. When ever something needs to get done i can count on John to do it!! He found us our projector & when I took over as President, at the time I was also Secretary & Treasurer. John decided to help the chapter out and take over as Treasurer this year, 2019. John, you deserve this!
The Chapter also inducted the first 3 members of into the Honorary Lifetime Membership Status. This membership is for those members who have held a board position for at least a two year term and has retired from the industry at no cost to the member. Our first 3 inductees are:
Brian Weir - Past President
Ronald Taylor - Past CCTV Vice President
James Kline - Past Secretary / Treasurer
Without the help of these three, this chapter would not be were it is today. They were also founding members and have been with this chapter since day one!
We will vote for this year’s Open Board Members Positions at our May 2020 meeting at the Manor Inn in Southington, CT.
( More information to come in the next few weeks)
Open Board Positions are:
President - Kyle Watterworth
National Director - Kyle Watterworth
National Director - VACANT
VP of Civil - John Kuchta
If any member / non-members has any questions please feel free to email us and address anything you may have. No question is a stupid question. I look forward to leading this organization in 2020!!

( January 24, 1947 to November 15, 2015 )
PHILIP L. GAUGHAN, of North Wildwood, NJ, passed away on Nov. 15, 2015. Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Fagan), loving father of Kathleen Gallagher (Stephen), Susan Schieber (Darrin), Colleen Gaughan (Camillo 'Orazio) and Philip Gaughan (Jessica). Dear brother of Joan Youngblood and Ronald Gaughan; also survived by 8 grandchildren. Philip was our North Eastern Vice President for ASCET National.
Phil's Contribution to the CT Chapter of ASCET.
The CT Chapter of ASCET would love to send our condolences to Philip's family & friends. Without Philip approaching & helping our Past-President, Brian Weir create this chapter, there would be no local chapter in the state of Connecticut today. Phil attended our first meeting & was a huge help in getting this chapter started. Today we are 42 strong! We dedicate our 2019 Chapter of the Year Award to Philip Gaughan for his help in getting this chapter started & making it a success.
Thanks again Phil, you will be truly missed!
